Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 stick of cold unsalted butter cubed
1/2 cup cold shortening (Crisco)
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup ice water
Instructions:
In a large bowl combine the salt, butter, shortening and flour together, use a pastry cutter to cut the butter and shortening into the flour until the mixture is crumbled. Add 1 tbsp of water at a time until the dough is able to form into a ball. Lightly flour the surface cut the dough in half and roll out both pieces into a circle big enough to overlay the pie pan.
Yields: 2 Pie Crust
